Beer tips

I worked in the beer industry for over three years, so I know a little bit about beer and the different brands out there. Here are some general tips that I have learned about beer storage, serving and consumption. Feel free to comment if you have anything to add...

Storage:
-Store your beer in a cool dark place for no more 4-5 months.

Serving:
- Beer is best served at 3 - 5 degree Celsius (pretty cold)
- If you prefer beer in a glass, rinse the glass in cold water
- A rich head of foam is ideal for a smooth clean taste
- Pour gently, tilting your glass slightly to create a nice head of foam.

Consuming:
- Much like drinking wine, a small sip will moisten your palate and provide you with a full tasting experience.
- To really enjoy your beer, drink it slowly (i.e. DON'T chug it as commonly done by college and university students). This will allow you to develop your own tasting preference and appreciate the uniqueness of different beers.
- And of course the most important element of consumption; don't drink and drive.
