This weekend my wife and I went to our favourite Thai restaurant to get some Thai food. I usually like to try different beers that are hard to find so I went with Saigon Export. Saigon export's website can be browsed here, however, if you don't speak Vietnamese (like me), you'll have trouble understanding what it says.
Saigon Export is a rice beer like domestic Budweiser. It pours pale yellow and drinks light and smooth. It provides a pleasant and subtle aftertaste opposite to strong aftertastes of traditional European lagers or pilsners.
It went really well with my beef chow mien dinner. For $1.95 per bottle that makes a six pack fairly cheaper than domestic rice beers and obviously cheaper than other premium imports. A great deal for a pretty good beer.

Comments:
Tuborg always reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer goes to Moe's Tavern and asks for an alternative to his regular Duff brand. Moe suggests he tries "Tuborg, the beer of Danish Kings".
Tuborg pours a regular light colour and drinks like a light beer despite its 4.6%. It's an easy drinking beer with a slight aftertaste.
The Carlsberg page for Tuborg describes its brewing process as
"Tuborg Green is a bottom-fermented lager beer. It's brewed on lager malt, a slightly roasted, bright type of malt which results in the well-known mild, fresh taste and aroma of flowers and grain. The beer is medium rich and lively with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste."
It also suggests that Tuborg be served with salads and spicy Asian dishes at 5-8 degrees Celsius, while the LCBO site suggest it to be served with BBQ.
I find Tuborg to be a very drinkable beer and it comes at a fair price. I'll usually buy it as a safe bet for a good tasting beer.
